Yield: 6 servings
|4 pounds||Beef brisket, flat half|
|24 ounces||Salsa sauce|
|6||Pita breads, cut in half|
|1||Lettuce head - shredded|
|3||Tomatoes - chopped|
Trim fat from brisket. Place in ungreased baking dish, 13½ by 9 by 2 inches. Mix salsa sauce and beer; pour over meat. Cover tightly. Bake in 325 degree oven 3 ½ hours or until tender. Remove beef; slice across the grain. Stuff pita bread with lettuce and beef slices; top with tomatoes. Serve with additional salsa sauce if desired.
