Soda pop baking powder biscuits

Ingredients

| 2 | cups | Sifted all purpose flour |
| 4 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | cup | Shortening |
| ¾ | cup | 7-up (soda pop) |
Directions
Sift flour, baking soda and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening until mixture is coarse and crumbly. Add 7-up and stir with a fork only until moistened. Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface and knead 8-10 times. Roll out to ¾ inch thickness. let rest a few minutes. Cut into shapes and arrange on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450F for 10-12 minutesor until golden brown. Makes 12 biscuits.
