Baking powder biscuits (roberts)

| 2 | cups | All-purpose flour |
| 1 | tablespoon | Double acting baking powder |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | cup | Unsalted butter =OR=- Shortening |
| ¾ | cup | Buttermilk |
Directions
COMBINE FLOUR, baking powder, salt and butter in a mixer and mix until crumbly. Add the buttermilk and mix until the dough holds together.
Do not over-mix. Turn out on a floured surface and roll the dough out to a ¾-inch thickness. Cut into rounds or squares. Place fairly close together on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in preheated 450F oven for 12 to 15 minutes. MICHAEL ROBERTS - PRODIGY GUEST CHEFS COOKBOOK
