Line a round glass bowl with plastic wrap. Spoon softened lime sherbet around the bottom and sides, ¾" thick, smoothing as you go.
Let harden in the freezer. Mix softened raspberry sherbet and chocolate chips together and spoon inside lime sherbet rind. Freeze for 1½ hours. Unmold, remove plastic wrap, and slice like a watermelon.
