Shashi's parma aloo

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
½ teaspoon Turmeric
\N pinch Cayenne pepper
½ teaspoon Garam Masala
¼ teaspoon Cumin, ground
\N \N Juice of 1/2 small lemon
1 tablespoon Tomato paste
8 smalls New potatoes

Preheat the oven to 350 Combine all the ingredients, except the potatoes in a bowl. Mix to a paste. Peel the potatoes. Cut a ½ inch wedge out of each potato. Rub the space with spice paste. Reinsert the wedge and rub the potatoes all over with the remaining spice.

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 30 - 40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes, until tender. Serve at once.
