Porked cabbage dinner

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 \N Pork center loin chops; fat trimmed
½ pounds Reduced fat Polish Kielbasa; sliced
1 \N Carrot; shredded
16 ounces Sauerkraut; rinse and drained
¾ cup Apple cider
2 tablespoons Light brown sugar
½ teaspoon Caraway seed
½ teaspoon Ground allspice
1 pounds Red potatoes; quartered

Stir together the cabbage, carrot, sauerkraut, cider, sugar, caraway seeds and allspice. Shove the pork chops in the cabbage mixture, pressing down to compact. Top with kielbasa and potatoes. Can be cooked in 7 hours on low, or 3½ hours on high in slow cooker. Or in 325F oven for 2 hours or until potatoes are tender. Serves 6. Calories 284⅒, Fat 13⅖ EAT-L Digest 16 July 96
