Pistachio-mint brownies^

¾cupFlour
¼teaspoonSalt
½cupChopped pistachios or
Pecans
1pack(8 3/4oz) chocolate mint
Patties, unwrapped
2tablespoonsChopped pistachios or
Pecans

Directions

Combine chocolate and butter in a heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring often until chocolate melts. Remove from heat.

Stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt, stirring until blended. Stir in ½ cup pistachios. Spoon into a greased 8" square pan.

Bake at 350F. for 22 minutes. Top with mint patties. Bake an additional 2 minutes.

Cover with foil and let stand 5 minutes. Uncover and evenly spread melted mint patties over top. Sprinkle evenly with 2 tablespoons nuts and cool on a wire rack. Cut into squares.makes 16 squares.
