Peppermint cookies

Yield: 42 servings

Measure Ingredient
⅔ cup Shortening -- butter
\N \N Flavored
¼ cup Sugar
¼ cup Brown sugar
1 each Egg
1½ cup All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt
½ cup Peppermint -- candy crushed

In a mixing bowl, cream shortening and sugars; beat in egg. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in the candy. Drop by teaspoonsful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 deg. for 10 to 12 min. or until cookie edges just begin to brown.

Yield: 3½ dozen.
