½ cup | Shorting or; (half butter) |
½ cup | Peanut Butter |
½ cup | Sugar |
½ cup | Brown sugar; (packed) |

1¼ cup | Flour; sifted |
½ teaspoon | Baking powder |
¾ teaspoon | Baking soda |
¼ teaspoon | Salt |
Mix thoroughly wet ingredients Sift together dry ingredients and stir into wet Chill dough,roll into balls (about the size of walnuts). Place 3" apart on a lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten the rolled dough balls with a fork that is dipped into flour, using a crisscross pattern. Bake until set, but not hard, in a 375 degree oven, for 10 to 12 minutes.
