Pdq pickles

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 tablespoon Mixed pickling spices
¾ cup Vinegar
½ cup Sugar
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Ground turmeric
4 cups Desired vegetables (cherry
\N \N Tomatoes,
\N \N Cauliflowerets, onion rings,
\N \N Carrot
\N \N Slices, zucchini and/or
\N \N Cucumber slices

Tie mixed pickling spice in cheesecloth or fabric fiber paper towel. In small saucepan, combine spice bag, vinegar, sugar, salt and turmeric. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Pour over desired vegetables in 1 qt. jar. Cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator.

Remove spice bag before serving.
