Pasta and bacon carbonara

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
250 grams Pasta; (8oz)
1 tablespoon Oil
1 \N Clove garlic; crushed
250 grams Back or middle bacon; chopped (8oz)
2 \N Eggs; size 3
3 tablespoons Freshly grated parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons Double cream
\N \N Salt and freshly ground black pepper
25 grams Butter; (1oz)

1. Cook the pasta following pack instructions.

2. Meanwhile, heat the oil, add the garlic and bacon and cook for 8-10 minutes, until browned.

3. In a bowl combine the eggs, cheese, cream and seasoning and mix well.

4. Drain the pasta, toss in the butter and add to the bacon. Cook for 1 minute.

5. Remove from the heat, add the egg mixture and stir thoroughly.

6. Serve immediately with a green salad and Italian bread.
