Onion cheddar soup - (winner)

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Chopped onion
¼ cup Butter or margarine
¼ cup All-purpose flour
½ teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper
4 cups Low fat milk
2 cups Shredded sharp cheddar process cheese

Cook onion in butter until tender, but not brown. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Bring to a boil, stirrlng constantly. Remove from heat and add shredded cheese, stirring until melted. Garnish each serving with paprika and snipped chives. Makes 6 servings.
