Oatmeal/date cookies

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Butter Flavor Crisco
1¼ cup Firmly packed brown sugar
1 Egg
¼ cup Milk
1½ teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup All-purpose flour
1¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Chopped dates
¾ cup Chopped walnuts
3 cups Quick cooking oats (not instant or old fashioned)

1. Heat oven to 375øF. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco. Set aside. 2. Cream Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in a large bowl at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. 3. Combine flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture. Stir in fruit and nuts. Stir in oats. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. 4. Bake at 375øF for 13 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
