No guilt refried beans^

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 can (16oz) pinto beans, rinsed
\N \N And drained
¼ cup Thick and chunky salsa
2 tablespoons Finely chopped onion
⅛ teaspoon Garlic powder
1 tablespoon Margarine

Combine beans, salsa, onion and garlic powder in a 2-quart saucepan.

Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer 8-10 minutes or until onion is translucnt, stirring occasionally. Add margarine, stir until melted.

In a food processor or blender, process mixture until smooth. Serve as a taco ingredient or chip and vegetable ingredient. 4 servings.

Per serving: 123 calories, 5 g protein, 3 g fat (21%), 18 g carbohydrate, 3 mg cholesterol, 675 mg sodium, 6 g fiber.
