Mom's cherry-mocha warmer

4 | cups | Half-and-half |
2 | cups | Milk |
¾ | cup | Creme de cacao |
¾ | cup | Cherry brandy |
1 | cup | Whipping cream |
4 | tablespoons | Confectioners sugar; sifted |

Directions
Chill a small bowl and beaters from an electric mixer in the freezer.
In a double boiler over hot water, combine the coffee, chocolate, granulated sugar and salt. Whisk until the chocolate is melted and smooth. In a medium saucepan, scald the half-and-half and the milk; whisk into the chocolate mixture. Add the creme de cacao and the cherry brandy. Keep the chocolate mixture warm.
In the chilled bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gradually add the confectioners sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Serve warm beverage with a dollop of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
Makes about fourteen 6oz servings.
