Mom's cereal cookies

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup White sugar
1 cup Margarine
1 x Egg, well beaten
3½ cup Flour
1 tablespoon Sour milk or sour cream
1 cup Oatmeal
½ cup Walnuts, chopped
1 cup Brown sugar
1 cup Oil
½ teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Baking soda; in:
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Cornflakes, crushed

Cream together sugars, margarine and oil. Add egg, then flour, soda + milk and vanilla. Stir in cereals and nuts. Drop in small balls on ungreased cookie sheets and press with bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 12 minutes.

SUGGESTIONS: Chill dough overnight before baking.

Any cereal(oat flakes, raisin bran, life, etc.) can substitute for corn flakes.

Salt can be omitted.
