Microwave char siu

1 | tablespoon | Red coloring |
1 | teaspoon | Chinese five spice |
¼ | cup | Thick soy sauce |
1 | teaspoon | Salt |
1 | tablespoon | Oyster sauce |
2 | tablespoons | Red bean curd |
¼ | cup | Sherry |
3 | Cloves garlic -- minced | |
2 | cups | Brown sugar |
Slice pork into pieces about 2" x 6". Combine all the ingredients and marinate overnight. Arrange five or six pieces of pork in a single layer, fat side down on a microwave roasting rack in a flat glass baking dish.
Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes; turn pork, fat side up, and baste.
Microwave on ROAST (low) for 12 to 15 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
