Marcepan - marzipan

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Almonds, blanched finely ground
1 pounds Sugar, powdered
2 tablespoons Orange water or rose water (get at drug store)
\N \N Food coloring
\N \N Decorations

1. Combine ground almonds, sugar and flavouring in a saucepan. Cook until mixture leaves side of pan. 2. Roll almond mixture on a flat surface to a ½" thickness. Cut into shapes, mold, paint with food colouring, decorate, etc. 3. Place on wax paper to dry for 2 hours.
