Maple pecan squares

Yield: 2 Dozen

Measure Ingredient
1¼ cup All-purpose flour
¼ cup Brown sugar
½ cup Melted butter
⅔ cup Brown sugar
¾ cup Maple syrup
¼ cup Butter
¼ teaspoon Salt (optional)
1 cup Pecan halves
½ teaspoon Vanilla
2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
2 \N Eggs, beaten

CRUST

TOPPING

Preheat oven to 350ø. For crust, mix flour, sugar and butter; press into an 11"x7" baking pan. Bake for 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Increase oven heat to 450øF.

To make the topping, simmer sugar and syrup for 5 minutes. Mix in the rest of the ingredients; pour over base. Bake for 10 minutes; reduce heat to 350øF and bake for 20 minutes. Cut squares when cool. Store in airtight container. Makes approximately 2 dozen. Typed in MMFormat by cjhartlin@...
