Mama dip's sweet potato pie

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
1½ pounds Sweet potatoes; (yams)
Sticks soft margarine
2 cups Sugar
1 Stick soft butter
3 Eggs; beaten
½ teaspoon Ground ginger
½ teaspoon Nutmeg
½ Ground cloves
1 teaspoon Vanilla
½ cup Milk
1 pinch Salt

1. Wash yams and cover with water. Bring to a boil.

2. When soft (about 45 minutes), drain and cool.

3. Peel potatoes and mash in a large bowl with margarine and sugar, mix well. Add eggs. Mix well stirring in spices and milk. Pour into 10 inch unbaked pie shell.

4. Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees, or until center is firm.
