1 cup | Unsalted butter |
2½ cup | Powdered sugar -- sifted |
4 \N | Eggs |
1 pinch | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Vanilla extract |
¼ teaspoon | Orange extract |
2 cups | All-purpose flour |
PREHEAT OVEN TO 350F. Lightly grease madeleine molds. In an electric mixer, cream butter until smooth and add sugar until incorporated.
Add the eggs 1 at a time, then add salt, vanilla extract and orange extract. Add the flour and mix until incorporated. Spoon about 1½ teaspoons batter into each mold. Place in oven and bake 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and remove from the molds.
Let madeleines cool on a rack.
