Directions
Directions: Unroll ½ of the package of phyllo sheets and cover with a damp dish towel to prevent them from drying. In a medium bowl, combine apples, raisins, sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. With a sharp knife, cut the phyllo sheets in half lengthwise. Lay out 1 strip of phyllo and spray with cooking spray. Place another sheet on top. Fold the layers together lengthwise to form a strip. Place a tablespoon of filling in bottom left corner and proceed by folding into a triangle using a flag fold. Repeat with all the strips of phyllo. Set the turnovers on a baking sheet sprayed with vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Can substitute cherry pie filling.
