Liberty hall marinated beef tenderloin

Ingredients

½cupRuby port
¼cupOlive oil
¼cupSoy sauce
½teaspoonPepper
½teaspoonThyme, crushed
¼teaspoonHot pepper sauce
1Bay leaf
poundsBoneless beef tenderloin, cut in 1/2\" slices

Directions

Mix first seven ingredients and pour over steaks. Cover and refrigerate 3 to 6 hours, turning occasionally.

Remove steaks from marinade. Place steaks on a broiler pan and place in cold oven. Broil 3 inches from heat 7 minutes; turn and broil 7 minutes more.

NOTES : I think I will make a sauce by reducing the marinade. Recipe by: Junior League of St. Louis
