3eachesGarlic cloves, minced
½cupSliced Thail chilis (or jalapeno peppers)
¼cupSliced onions
4cupsCooked rice (Thai jasmine)
cupFish sauce (nam pla)
2tablespoonsSugar
1tablespoonSweet soy sauce
¼teaspoonWhite pepper
1cupHot basil leaves
1smallTomato, cut into wedges
½cupSliced cucumber
4eachesGreen onions/scallions/spring onions, cut in 4-in. lengths
1eachCarrot, thinly sliced

Directions

Heat a large skillet until hot and add the oil. Add the meat, garlic, chilis (or peppers) and onions and cook for 30 seconds. Add the rice, fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce and white pepper and continue to cook until the rice is hot. Toss in the basil leaves and stir to combine.
