Kentucky pecan cake

Ingredients

| 2½ | cup | Self Rising Flour |
| 2 | cups | Sugar |
| 1½ | cup | Vegetable Oil |
| 1 | cup | Applesauce |
| 2½ | tablespoon | Ground Cinnamon |
| 2 | tablespoons | Hot Water |
| 4 | eaches | Egg Yolks |
| 1 | cup | Chopped Pecans |
| 4 | eaches | Egg Whites |
| 1 | x | Powdered Sugar |
Directions
Combine first 7 ingredients in order listed; beat at medium speed of mixer until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Beat egg whites (at room temperature) until stiff; fold into batter. Pour mixture into an ungreased 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350" for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
