Put about 1 tablespoon alfalfa see into the jar. Fill the jar half full of water. Let sit 8 hours. Drain off water. Tilt jar so all water drains off because seeds won't sprout if they stand in water.
Rinse with water 3 times daily until sprouts are 1½ to 2 inches long. Rinse and store in covered container or plastic bag in the refrigerator. Continue to rinse often to keep fresh.
