Hearty beef stew / goulash

Ingredients

| 2 | pounds | Cut up stew meat |
| 1 | large | Diced onion |
| 3 | Carrots 1/2 inch slices; up to 4 | |
| 1 | pounds | Thickly sliced mushrooms |
| 2 | tablespoons | Paparika |
| 1 | teaspoon | Pepper |
| ¾ | cup | Ketchup |
| Oil | ||
Directions
Brown meat and saute onions in oil. Add seasonings and ketchup and simmer covered over low heat for 1 hour. Add carrots and mushrooms and continue to simmer for 1 hour.
Serve over thick noodles.
