|2 pounds||Unpeeled medium-size fresh shrimp|
|4 larges||Eggs, beaten|
|⅔ cup||Commercial spicy French salad dressing|
|1½ tablespoon||Lemon juice|
|¾ teaspoon||Onion powder|
|\N \N||Vegetable oil|
|1⅓ cup||Crushed saltine crackers|
|⅔ cup||Crushed corn flakes cereal|
|⅓ cup||White cornmeal|
Peel shrimp, leaving tails intact; devein if desired. Place shrimp in a large shallow dish. Combine eggs and next 3 ingredients; pour over shrimp, stirring gently. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Pour oil to depth of 2 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375 degrees.
Combine cracker crumbs, cereal and cornmeal. Remove shrimp from marinade, discarding marinade. Dredge shrimp in cracker mixture, and fry, a few at a time, until golden. Drain.
