Gehakteh leber (chopped liver)

Ingredients

| 2 | larges | Onions, chopped (or more, to taste) |
| 3 | tablespoons | Oil |
| 1 | pounds | Chicken livers |
| 4 | Hard cooked eggs | |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
| 1 | tablespoon | Mayonnaise (up to 2) |
Directions
In a large skillet, saute the onions in the oil until golden. Broil the livers. Using the finest blade of a grinder, or steel blade of the food processor, grind the liver with the onions and eggs. Add the salt and pepper. Add 1 or 2 tbs mayonnaise and mix well. Taste and adjust the seasoning. Serve chilled.
