Fruity rice curry

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Rice
¼ cup Dried fruit; diced
¼ cup Almonds; bleached and slightly roasted
2 tablespoons Raisins
1 tablespoon Dried onion
2 teaspoons Curry powder
½ teaspoon Salt

Combine all ingredients and put them in a jar.

To prepare the rice combine the mixture with 2½ cups water and 2 tablespoons butter or margarine. (I have omitted this without any problem) Put in a well covered pan. Allow to boil and then simmer for 30 minutes.

Turn off the fire and leave uncovered for 10 more minutes. Mix with a fork.

Enough for 4 persons
