French onion soup aussie style

Measure Ingredient
30 grams Butter
6 \N Onions; sliced
6 cups Beef stock
430 grams Can* beef consomme
1 \N Pepper to taste
½ cup Grated cheese
1 \N * nearest equiv. can size

Melt butter in a saucepan, add onions and cook over a medium heat until tender and lightly browned. Add stock, beef consomme, and pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for 20 mins. Serve hot, sprinkled with cheese.
