| 1 | teaspoon | Baking soda |
| 1 | teaspoon | Cinnamon |

| ¼ | teaspoon | Cloves; ground |
| 3 | Eggs | |
| 1 | cup | Fig preserves |
| 1 | cup | Oil |
| 1 | cup | Buttermilk |
| 1 | tablespoon | Vanilla |
| ½ | Stick butter; (1/4 cup) | |
| ½ | cup | Sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | Light corn syrup |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
Directions
GLAZE
Heat oven to 325 F. Combine cake ingredients and mix well. Pour into a 9x13" greased cake pan; bake for 45 minutes. Make glaze by combining ingredients and boiling for 3 minutes. Pour over cake while cake is warm.
