|4 tablespoons||Sweet butter|
|6 mediums||Idaho potatoes; washed; scrubbed, sliced thin|
|2 cups||Gruyere cheese; grated|
|6 cloves||Garlic; minced|
|1½ cup||Light cream|
|⅔ cup||Parmesan; grated|

Grease a 9x13" baking pan with 1 T butter. Arrange: ⅓ the potatoes, ½ the cheese, ½ the garlic, season to taste. Repeat, ending with potatoes.
Pour cream over, sprinkle with Parmesan, dot with butter, and bake 90 min.
