Yield: 36 Bars
|½ cup||All-purpose flour|
|½ teaspoon||Baking powder|
|1½ cup||Cut-up, pitted dates (8 oz.)|
|1 cup||Coarsely chopped walnuts|
|1 cup||C&H Golden Brown Sugar|
|¼ cup||Salad oil|
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Combine with dates and nuts; set aside. Beat eggs, add sugar and beat well. Mix in oil and vanilla.
Sift in flour-date mixture, mixing thoroughly. Spread evenly in greased and floured 13x9-inch baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. When slightly cool, cut into bars. Makes about 3 dozen bars.
