Dahl soup

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 small Onion, minced
½ teaspoon Cinnamon
½ teaspoon Cumin, ground
1 tablespoon Oil
3 cups Red lentils
1 each Kombu strip
12 cups Water
\N \N Salt, to taste
2 tablespoons Cilantro
\N \N Lemon slices, to garnish

Saute onion, cinnamon & cumin in oil in a stockpot until the onion is translucent, about 2 minutes.

Stir in the lentils, kombu & water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover & simmer for 1 hour. Season to taste & garnish with cilantro & lemon slices.
