Cream cheese pound cake/chocolate pound cake

Yield: 10 servings

Measure Ingredient
3 \N Sticks butter, softened
8 ounces Cream cheese, softened
3 cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
6 \N Eggs
3 cups Cake or all purpose flour
1 \N Dash salt

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and cream cheese.

Gradually add sugar, salt and vanilla, beatting well. Alternately add eggs and flour until mixed together thoroughly. Pour batter into a well greased tube pan and bake for 1½ hours.

Note: You can make a chocolate pound cake out of this recipe by substituting ½ cup of cocoa for ½ cup of flour.
