1 cup | Yellow corn meal |
2 \N | Eggs (separated) |
3 teaspoons | Baking powder |
1½ \N | To 1 3/4 cups milk |
2 tablespoons | Sugar |
6 tablespoons | Liquid shortening (oil) |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
Mix and sift dry ingredients. Add egg YOLKS, milk and shortening.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in waffle iron until done.
