| 1 | cup | Brown sugar |
| 1 | Egg | |
| ½ | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Lemon extract |
| 2 | tablespoons | Milk |
| 1 | cup | Flour |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 2 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
| ⅓ | cup | Shredded coconut |
| 2 | tablespoons | Finely chopped candied |
| Orange peel | ||
Directions
Heat oven to 325. Mix shortening, sugar, egg, vanilla, extract & milk. Mix flour, salt & powder; stir in. Blend in coconut & peel.
Spread in lightly greased square pan, 9*9*1¾". Bake 30-35 minutes.
While warm, cut into bars.
