Chow chow pickles

Measure Ingredient
6 quarts Green Tomatoes
2 pounds Onions
½ cup Coarse Salt
6 cups White Vinegar
6 cups White Sugar
½ cup Pickle spice in a bag

Slice tomatoes and onions, add salt, let stand overnite in frig. Drain and add white vinegar, white sugar and pickle spice in a bag.

Cook 25 minutes and pack in sterilized jars.
