Carrot and apple tzimmes

Ingredients

| 4 | cups | Grated carrots |
| 1 | tablespoon | Fine barley |
| ¾ | cup | Grated apples |
| 8 | tablespoons | Butter or fat |
| ½ | cup | Water |
| ½ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 2 | teaspoons | Sugar |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
Directions
