Yield: 5 cups
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
12 \N | Egg yolks |
1¾ cup | Sugar |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
¾ cup | Butter or margarine |
½ cup | Bourbon |
½ cup | Quartered candied cherries |
1½ cup | Chopped pecans |
1½ cup | Chopped seeded raisins |
1½ cup | Flaked coconut |
Combine first 4 ingredients in top of a double boiler; beat at low speed on an electric mixer 30 seconds or just until blended. Bring water to a boil; reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is slightly thickened (about 20 minutes). Remove from heat; add bourbon, and beat at low speed 1 minute. Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Pour egg mixture over fruit-nut mixture, mixing well. Cool completely.
