California chess pie

Yield: 3 servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sugar
3 \N Eggs
1 cup Walnuts or pecans
1 cup Chopped seedless raisins
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 \N 9 inch unbaked pie shell

Cream butter and sugar with salt. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in nuts, raisins and vanilla. Turn into crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce heat to 325 degrees; bake an additional 30 to 35 minutes. Randy Rigg Submitted By RANDY RIGG On 04-24-95
