Bob hope's lemon pie

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Sugar
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 cup Boiling water
2 tablespoons Butter
1 pinch Salt
4 tablespoons Lemon juice
4 \N Egg yolks
\N \N Grated rind of 1 lemon
3 \N Egg whites
\N \N Baked pie shell
2 tablespoons Sugar

Combine cornstarch and sugar, add water slowly, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. Add slightly beaten egg yolks, butter, lemon rind and juice and salt. Cook 2-3 minutes. Pour into baked shell.
