Besan burfi

| 1 | cup | Besan |
| 1 | cup | Shortening |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| 4 | Seeds Cardamom | |
| Nuts (optional) | ||
Directions
1. melt shortening in a pan. 2. Turn down heat and add cardamom and Besan. 3. Fry, stirring constantly to prevent burning till it has changed color to brown and smells done. (Test: a few drops of water sprinkled on it splutters instantly). 4. Turn off heat and stir in sugar. 5. Spread on a platter ½" thick. 6. Cut into diamond shapes after it has cooled down.
