Bananas and cream bread (for bread machines)

¾cupsour cream or plain yogurt
¼cupwater plus
1tablespoonwater
Raisins or chopped nuts (optional)
teaspoonactive dry yeast
2cupsbread flour
2tablespoonswheat germ
2tablespoonspowdered milk
1tablespoonsugar
1teaspoonsalt
½teaspoongrated nutmeg
1tablespoonvegetable oil
¾cupmashed ripe banana
½cupsour cream or plain yogurt
¼cupwater
½cupraisins or chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Add all ingredients except the raisins or nuts, if included, in the order suggested by your bread machine manual and process on the basic bread cycle according to the manufacturer's directions.

At the beeper (or at the end of the first kneading in the Panasonic or National), add the raisins or nuts.
