Banana oreo pudding

Yield: 3 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Sugar
⅔ cup Flour
¼ teaspoon Salt
1 Dozen egg yolks
1½ teaspoon Vanilla
4 cups Milk
Bags of Oreo cookies, crush
Half of them, 20 oz. size
10 Bananas, sliced
Meringue
Dozen egg whites
1 teaspoon Vanille
½ cup Sugar

Preheat oven to 4540 degrees. Combine sugar, flour, salt, yolks and milk; cook in double boiler until thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. In a 2 or 3 quart dish, layer crushed Oreo cookies, bananas and custard, making several layers. Line sides of dish with whole cookies, layer with remaining ingredients. Meringue: Beat whites until peaks form. Add vanilla and sugar. Spread on pudding; bake until browned. Randy Rigg Submitted By RANDY RIGG On 10-24-95
