Bacon cheese biscuits

| ½ | cup | (about 2 ounces ) shredded cheddar cheese | 
| ¾ | cup | Plus | 
| 2 | tablespoons | Milk | 
| ¼ | cup | Chopped green onions | 
| 4 | slices | Bacon; cooked and crumbled | 
Directions
Christmas. Combine flour and shortening; cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add cheese, milk, onions, and bacon, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead lightly 4 or 5 times.Roll dough to ½-inch thickness; cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield: about 1 dozen.
