Turkey italian sausage with red sauce

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Olive oil, divided
1 pack Butterball Turkey Italian Sausage (1 lb)
1 large Onion, chopped
½ pounds Mushrooms, sliced
½ \N Green bell pepper, chopped
1 \N Garlic clove, minced
¼ cup Chicken broth or dry white wine
1 can Tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 can Stewed tomatoes, drained (14 1/2 oz)
2 tablespoons Tomato paste
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup Cooked Mahatma Rice

Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add turkey sausage and brown 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet; set aside. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil and onion to skillet; cook over medium-low heat 5 minutes. Then add mushrooms, pepper and garlic; cook 5 minutes more. Pour in broth and cook over medium-high heat about 2 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil. Return sausage to skillet.
