Traditional calabacitas con leche

4eachesMedium summer squash, sliced
¼cupButter or maragarine
1each15 oz can corn, drained
½cupOnion, thinly sliced
½teaspoonSalt
1eachDash pepper
1each4 oz can chopped green chili
1cupMilk
½cupGrated cheddar cheese

Directions

Saute' squash in butter until soft. Reduce heat and add corn, onions, salt, pepper and green chili. Mix well and add milk. Simmer until well blended. Add cheese and cover until cheese is melted.
