2 cups | Boiling water |
¼ cup | Milk |

Mix cornmeal, salt and boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes. Stir in milk. Fry 2½- inch cakes on a medium hot well oiled skillet until browned on both sides.
Yield: 12 cake
